Chris Tiernan, Managing Partner, Grosvenor Consultancy Services, has been providing clients in the private, public and charity sectors with guidance on outsourcing and off-shoring for 20 years and now Cloud Computing.
Grosvenor has assisted over 200 clients with projects worth billions of pounds. Chris has personal experience of the full range of activities in selecting and managing suppliers in many areas including IT, as well as re-tendering, renegotiating and taking services back in-house.
He is a past chair of The Institute for the Management of Information Systems, sits on the BCS Elite Committee for CIOs and has written regularly on the subject of securing value from IT in an Institute of Chartered Accountants Journal for which he is writing a business case guide to be published shortly. He was one of the principal authors of Val IT from ISACA/ITGI (home of CobiT) which is executive guidance on securing real business value from IT. Working with Cranfield and others he has written papers and given numerous presentations on many aspects of outsourcing, off-shoring and the underlying economics of IT.
